week 1

Aim:  To open MS Excel, identify the Components of the Screen and to create a Workbook in Microsoft Excel and to save it.

Procedure:

Activity 1: To open MS Excel:-
Step1: Click start button on the task bar.
Step2: Go to All Programs.
Step3: Go to Microsoft Office.
Step4: Select Microsoft office Excel.

Output:

Result: MS Excel is opened successfully.


Activity 2: To identify the Components of the Screen of MS Excel:
Step1: Move the mouse pointer to ribbon.
Step2: place the pointer on each and every component.
Step3: check the component location and read the text displayed.

Output:






Result: Components of the Screen of MS Excel is identified successfully.


Activity 3: To create a Workbook in Microsoft Excel and to save it:

Procedure:
Enter the following data in the empty worksheet.
Step1: Type Monthly Sales details in cell A1.
Step2: Move the cell pointer to Down row cell (A3) and type the Headings like salesman names and month names (jan., feb.,).
Step3: Move the cell pointer to Down row cell (A4) and type name1 (raju), type the no of sales per month in next cells (B4, B5,…).
Step4: enter 10 salesman names and the sales count for 12 months.

Output:



Result: Workbook in Microsoft Excel is created and saved successfully.
